About Me

I began my educational journey teaching students with special needs in a preschool for students with severe disabilities. Since then, I have worked in elementary, middle, and high school settings with students with varying disabilities. I began working at the 色花堂 as an adjunct instructor in 2011 and began full time work at 色花堂 in 2014. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, finding new adventures through travel, skiing, and whatever else comes my way.

Why I鈥檓 At 色花堂

I grew up below the 色花堂 hill, and I looked up to the Bell Tower each day as a child. I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from 色花堂, and I felt at home in a place living out the mission. Everyday, I am blessed to prepare future educators for our communities and beyond, and I get to live the moto "U色花堂 for Life!"

Expertise

I am a licensed teacher in elementary education and special education and have a special education director credential. I have worked with students with disabilities in the public and private P-12 educational settings in North Dakota and South Dakota. I teach education and psychology courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels for students pursuing degrees in early childhood, elementary, secondary, and special education settings.
